Makmur Jaya — Peringatan Hari Jadi Kecamatan Satui yang ke-362 tahun pada 31 Agustus 2025 kali ini berlangsung dengan penuh makna. Tidak hanya merayakan perjalanan panjang kecamatan ini, acara yang diselenggarakan di Ruang Terbuka Hijau Kecamatan Satui, Desa Makmur Jaya, juga menjadi ajang penghormatan kepada salah satu tokoh besar, KH. Dr. (HC) Idham Chalid, melalui peringatan haul beliau. Namun, sorotan utama dari acara ini adalah penyerahan beasiswa secara simbolis yang diberikan oleh Wakil Ketua DPRD Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan, H.M. Alpiya Rakhman, SE., MM., kepada mahasiswa berprestasi dan kurang mampu dari Kecamatan Satui.

Sebanyak 5 mahasiswa dari berbagai jurusan dan tingkat pendidikan menerima beasiswa dari program Community Development PT. Wahana Baratama Mining. Beasiswa ini diberikan kepada mahasiswa yang menunjukkan prestasi akademik yang baik, namun memiliki keterbatasan dalam hal biaya pendidikan. Penyerahan beasiswa ini merupakan bagian dari upaya berkelanjutan dalam mendukung pendidikan di Tanah Bumbu, yang diharapkan dapat memberikan peluang bagi generasi muda untuk meraih cita-cita mereka.

Dalam sambutannya, H.M. Alpiya Rakhman menyampaikan pentingnya pendidikan sebagai alat untuk membangun masa depan. “Melalui beasiswa ini, kami ingin memberikan kesempatan kepada generasi muda yang berbakat namun terbatas secara ekonomi untuk melanjutkan pendidikan mereka. Selain penyerahan beasiswa, acara ini juga diwarnai dengan peringatan haul KH. Dr. (HC) Idham Chalid. Beliau dikenang sebagai sosok ulama yang memiliki kontribusi besar dalam bidang pendidikan dan sosial di Tanah Bumbu. Dalam doa bersama yang dipimpin oleh tokoh agama setempat, masyarakat Satui mendoakan almarhum dan berterima kasih atas segala jasa yang telah beliau tinggalkan.

Acara tersebut dihadiri oleh lebih dari 8.000 orang, termasuk tokoh agama, tokoh masyarakat, pelajar, dan masyarakat umum yang datang dari berbagai suku dan adat.
